Lately, I’ve revisited a book I’d written about 20 years ago and wanted to upgrade it by giving it a word diet. I’ve managed to reduce it by over 8,000 unnecessary words and it reads so much better. I look back knowing it was my best at the time with the knowledge of writing that I had. Now it’s improved and I love it even more.
Somewhere on the Internet I’d read it’s not a good idea to edit your old books but I enjoyed this editing process so much, it became addictive. It will help me to not include those words (as often) again.
Happy Writing and Reading Folks!
And Happy Easter!
